vehicle crime reduction events

click to go to South Cambridgeshire District CouncilThe South Cambridgeshire Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership would like to invite all South Cambridgeshire residents to their vehicle crime reduction events.

Organised by Cambridgeshire Constabulary and South Cambridgeshire District Council, the unique events are running throughout December.

Visitors will have the chance to get hands on advice and information directly from the police on how to keep valuables safe in their cars during the Christmas season.

Chief Inspector Dave Sargent said: "This is a unique opportunity for the public to come and meet the local policing teams, crime reduction officers and partners and seek advice and guidance on keeping their vehicles safe and secure. Seasonally this time of year always sees an increase in people’s cars being broken into by opportunistic thieves searching for presents. We will do anything we can do to raise awareness."

The mobile police unit will also be on hand to give residents the opportunity to directly discuss any concerns they may have in their local area with the police.

The events will take place between 4pm and 8pm on:

Thursday 2 December at Morrisons car park, Cambourne
Thursday 9 December at Tesco car park, Milton
Thursday 16 December at Tesco car park, Bar Hill
